...In The Woods has a special program for those who want to build their own cabins and have an annual membership.
...In The Woods will become your special Home Away From Home!

The U-Build-It program is unique and allows members to have their own cabin that they build (or if your not THAT butch) have a contractor build it for you!

 

You build your own cabin and deduct 50% of the cost of the cabin from your annual dues, not to exceed $5000.00.
Deduction includes, but is not limited to:  structure frame, floor, 3 windows, front door, and roof.
Deductions which are NOT included, but are not limited to: interior walls, interior door(s) interior decorating (i.e. paint, wallpaper, etc.), wiring, light fixtures/fans/air conditioners, circuit panels, plumbing, and porches/decks

 

So, how does this work?

Definitions  -

builder: Individual(s) in contract over ubuildit cabin.

parties: ...in the woods and builder

Lets say the basic structure costs $2500.00 and involves a 2 person annual membership of $1000.00 per year.

• Location is agreed upon by both parties.
• Building plans are submitted to ...in the woods from builder and are approved.
• Structure completion due date is agreed by both parties. 
• Cabin is constructed by builder and completed. 
• Receipts are forfeited to ...in the woods.  
• ...in the woods credits account amount of receipt(s) to builder. 
• The cabin is maintained by builder for duration of contract.
• The cabin is only used by builder - not rented out by ...in the woods.
• Builder may not sublet, sell, transfer cabin to another individual(s).

In this scenario, the time allotted for membership would be:  5 years at the above pricing level at 50% payback.  During that time-frame, 50% of the annual membership fees are collected on the 1st day each year and 50% is applied to the balance of u-build-it cabin.  Upon complete restitution of the cabin, all remaining charges are prorated for builder.  Subsequent years would be current rate due on January 1 of each year.

The structure becomes sole property of ...in the woods, because, ...in the woods has, in fact, purchased to material for said structure.
